St. Paul United Methodist Church Preschool is proud to have enthusiastic, motivated teachers who are dedicated to serving. In operation for over thirty years, St. Paul has offered a service to our small community that is unparalleled. Our staff is experienced in guiding and challenging our students to prepare them for a lifetime of learning. Our mission includes a passionate, loving, and innovative approach to serving your family.
Meet Our Staff:
Mrs. Walters is our Preschool Director. She has worked for the preschool for thirty-seven years and has served as the Director for the last thirty years. She teaches the five-day, four-year-old class. She was raised attending St. Paul UMC and, she and her husband attend here now. Mrs. Walters and her husband, Tuffy, have three daughters, Jeanetta, Leslie, Anna, and six grandchildren.

Mrs. Pugh has worked for our preschool for twenty-three years. Mrs. Pugh and her husband Mike have two sons, Matthew and Logan, and one grandson, Trevor. In 1989 her son Logan attended St. Paul Preschool. She says she and her husband Mike felt so welcome that they started coming to the church and have been faithful members for the last thirty-two years.

Mrs. Perkins has worked for our preschool for eighteen years. She teaches the two-day, two-and-a-half-year-old class and the three-day three/four-year-old class. She and her family have been members of All Nations Church for fourteen years. Mrs. Perkins has been active in the Children's Ministry at ANC for eleven years. She and her husband Brian have a daughter named Allison who received her Master's of Science in Elementary Education from Emory and Henry College. Allison is a kindergarten teacher at Spiller Elementary School.

Mrs. Brown has worked for our preschool for four years and served as a volunteer/substitute for sixteen years. She teaches the three-day, four-year-old class. Mrs. Brown and her husband, Chris, have two children, Madison and Ross. Madison is a senior at Radford University preparing to graduate with her BSN and, Ross is a senior at the University of Virginia majoring in Environmental Science.

Mrs. Lester has worked for our preschool for five years as our extended day teacher. She has served in the church nursery for seven years. She is currently working on her Master of Science in Education at Old Dominion University. Mrs. Lester and her husband, Charlie, have one son, Jackson and, one daughter, Genesis.
